VIP Class Notes (Raph)[S]

Pronunciation

Original:

Last week we had an associate event with a Chinese law firm. We invited several young associates from a famous Chinese law firm and we had dinner together, and had a drink afterwards. Actually, I planned to go home a little bit earlier that night, but as the host of this event I couldn’t leave before all the guests leave. So I had to stay until 2AM. At that moment, I was a little bit angry, because I think we are all Chinese, so all of us understand that the host couldn’t leave before the guest leave. As considerate guests, really they should leave a little bit early than 2AM. At last there were only three lawyers stay. A girl was obviously drunk. In this situation, her colleagues should take her home, but they did nothing. They just stayed until the pub had to close. I think such kind of behavior is very inappropriate.
