Zero-Sum Game (n): 1- a situation in which an advantage that is won by one of two sides is lost by the other.
E.g.: Free trade benefits everyone in the end because trade is never a zero-sum game.

Polarize (v): 1- to cause something, especially something that contains different people or opinions, to divide into two completely opposing groups.
E.g.: The debate is becoming polarized and there seems to be no middle ground.

Polar Opposites (n): 1- completely different.
E.g.: My sister and I look alike, but our personalities are polar opposites.

Fringe (n): 1- the outer or less important part of an area, group, or activity:
E.g.: He moved to the southern fringe of the city
E.g.: Radical voices that used to be on the fringes of political debate have been amplified by social media.
