Interrupt (v): 1-  to stop something from continuing to happen before it’s supposed to end. 2- to stop a person from speaking for a short period by something you say or do.
E.g.: We had to interrupt our trip when we heard John’s mother had had an accident.
E.g.: She tried to explain what had happened but he kept interrupting her.

Elite (n): 1- the richest, most powerful, best-educated, or best-trained group in a society.
E.g.: He’s been a member of the country’s political elite for many years.

Skeptical (adj): 1– doubting that something is true or useful.
E.g.: Many experts remain skeptical about/of his claims.
E.g.: I’m a bit skeptical about his chances of success.
E.g.: I take a more skeptical view.
