Speaking exercise

Original:

March 11th is my husband’s birthday. I want to buy a gift for him. Is my original plan I want to buy a jacket from US outlet shopping mall, but I didn’t find anything special. When I came back I spent lots of time thinking which gift fits him. Finally I decide to buy a new mobile phone for him, but I don’t want to let him know, but how can I know what type of mobile phone he loves best? I try to contact his friends, ask his friends to help me find the answer. I also ask his friend to keep a secret for me. Yesterday my husband send me a message and he said “Dear, thank you for your gift idea, but I need more time to find which type of mobile phone I like best. You can give to me after my birthday, no rush.” But I’m so happy to hear about that!
