Vocabulary

Reality (n): 1- the state of being real, not imagined.
E.g.: He escaped from reality by going to the cinema every afternoon.
E.g.: He seemed very young, but he was in reality (= in fact) older than all of us.

Authority (n): 1- the power or right to give orders and make decisions. 2- 权威
E.g.: As a teacher, she had total authority over the students.
E.g.: He has no authority to make this decision.

Authorize (v): 1- to give official permission for something to happen, or to give someone official permission to do something:
E.g.: Who authorized this?
E.g.: I cannot do anything before my boss authorizes it.

Resist (v): 1- to fight against something or someone that is attacking you. 2- to refuse to accept or be changed by something. 3- to stop yourself from doing something that you want to do:
E.g.: The soldiers resisted (the enemy attacks) for two days.
E.g.: The party leader resisted demands for his resignation.
E.g.: I can never resist temptation/chocolate.

Irresistible (adj): 1- impossible to refuse, oppose, or avoid because it is too pleasant, attractive, or strong.
E.g.: He made me an irresistible offer
E.g.: She gave me one of those irresistible smiles and I just had to agree.

Food coma (n): 1- a state of sleep or having no energy because you ate too much.
E.g.: I fell into a post-dinner food coma.

Coma (n): 1- 昏迷
