Stingy (adj): 1- unwilling to spend money:
E.g.: He’s really stingy and never buys anyone a drink when we go out.
E.g.: The landlords are so stingy – they refused to pay for new carpets.

High-maintenance (adj): 1- Requiring a lot of attention. When describing a person, high-maintenance usually means that the individual is emotionally needy or prone to over-dramatizing a situation to gain attention.
E.g.: Although he was a nice boy, his low self-esteem made him high-maintenance.

Validation (n): 1- the action of checking or proving the validity or accuracy of something. 2- the action of making or declaring something legally or officially acceptable. 3- recognition or affirmation that a person or their feelings or opinions are valid or worthwhile.
E.g.: The technique requires validation in controlled trials.
E.g.: New courses, subject to validation, include an MSc in Urban Forestry.
E.g.: They have exaggerated needs for acceptance and validation.

Elitist (adj): 1- organized for the good of a few people who have special interests or abilities. 2- someone who believes that some things should be controlled or owned only by the richest or best educated people:
E.g.: Many remember sport at school as elitist, focusing only on those who were good at it.
E.g.: They were elitists who had a contempt for popular politics.

Fetish (n): 1- a sexual interest in an object or a part of the body other than the sexual organs.
E.g.: He has a fetish for/about high heels.

Exoticize (v): 1- portray (someone or something unfamiliar) as exotic or unusual; romanticize or glamorize.
E.g.: Importantly, the film doesn’t exoticize the East.

Bad-mouth (v): 1- to criticize someone or something in a very unpleasant manner:
E.g.: Stop bad-mouthing him all the time.
