Grammar

Deposit (v/n): 1- to pay someone an amount of money when you make an agreement with that person to pay for or buy something, that either will be returned to you later, if the agreed arrangement is kept, or that forms part of the total payment.
E.g.: When we moved in, we had to deposit $1,000 with the landlord in case we broke any of his things.

Address (v): 1- to speak or write to someone. 2- to give attention to or deal with a matter or problem.
E.g.: He addressed a few introductory remarks to the audience.
E.g.: He likes to be addressed as “Sir” or “Mr Miller”.
E.g.: The issue has yet to be addressed.
E.g.: The government has to address the problem.

Pretentious (adj): 1- trying to appear or sound more important or clever than you are, especially in matters of art and literature. 2- 自命不凡
E.g.: He’s a pretentious art critic.
E.g.: I find him very arrogant (傲慢) and pretentious.
