redundancy/ severance – money paid after being laid off

voluntary/ forced redundancy/ severance – choice

bail out – government intervention to provide financial support to stop a company from going bankrupt.

to subsidize – government financial support to something

green belt – an area of a city that can not be developed, green area.

brown field site – an area that was used for industry before but now empty
