Grammar

Supposed to – this usually acts as an adjective, and goes with the verb “to be”; it is really about whether it is complete or not, not the tense
— “Supposed to” is always about something that is not done; the present tense is for something that is still possible, and the past is for something that is no longer possible
e.g. [Past] He was supposed to be here at 6 o’clock (and he is not, or was not)
e.g. [Present] He is supposed to be here at 6 o’clock (he isn’t here yet, but we still hope that he will be)
e.g. [Future] He is supposed to go to Hangzhou tomorrow (this is the plan, and he should do it)
NOT He will be supposed to be here…

Remember!
There are many things besides people that fall into the “it” category for verbs (he/she/it)
e.g. The dog eats anything you give it.
e.g. The government taxes us at 9%.

As is a word for comparing.
e.g. He is as tall as a tree.
e.g. I will do it as soon as he gets home (comparing “whens”)

When you use a verb, don’t use “is” before it.

For a verb acting as a noun, we usually use “-ing”
