Vocabulary

Food poisoning – just your stomach and intestines trying to clear everything out
Cold – when your head and throat hurt, runny nose
Flu – you get food poisoning and cold symptoms all at once, fever, headache, upset stomach

Double – this is also a verb
e.g. We doubled the recruits in the last six months.
Also: Triple, Quadruple, Quintuple
Equivalent ways of expressing this: two-times, three-times, four-times . . .

With respect to – concerning, considering, talking about something
e.g. With respect to the deal we discussed earlier, I think we can agree if you can decrease the price by another 5%.
e.g. With respect to the concept of sovereignty, he is the guy the you want to talk to.

Grammar

Comma usage – two different reasons to use a comma:
1. To separate a non-necessary clause at the beginning, or an interrupting clause in the middle
e.g. In the last six months, we were able to hire another…
2. To combine two full sentences together
e.g. We ate some chocolate cake, and then went out together to a bar.

Writing exercise

1. Create a recruiting strategy and developing a deeper talent pool from which to draw enthusiastic and talented candidates for our brand. 125 instructor leads are coordinated in the database made up of new leads and also city transfer candidates within 6 months, which is the double quantity of 1 year in average.

2. Attend Nike Superworkshop and Trainer Summit for the purposes of building our teacher database. We have / The system now has 125 instructor leads are coordinated in the database, made up of including both new leads and also candidates looking to transfer to our region / our city transfer candidates within the next 6 months, which is the double quantity of 1 year in average.
