I’m getting married next March. My finance and I are excited to organize our own new family and have new page in life. Both of our parents are open-minded and don’t require any traditional rituals or customs for the wedding. I regard a wedding plan as a recruting project. We “recruit”friends and family to join that-day event. First of all, my boyfriend and I sat down and figured out the three most aspects of our wedding. First priority is both of us are happy and enjoyable in our big day. Second, we provide good food for our guests. Third, the inspiration of our wedding style is from our stories and memories. And we stick to the budget we set. Originally I thought it’s not hard as what others describe. We just have to stick to the budget we set and book a venue, photographer and videographer in advance. Also, I might recruit a wedding planner to implement rest of the details. But the truth is planning a wedding involves endless decisions and lists. Plus, we’re based in Shanghai now and can’t handle things in Taiwan. Meanwhile, if we request higher quality including wedding dress, floral design, and the decoration, all is beyond the budget. However, I think it’s still exciting to proceed the process , make decisions and find solutions together with my fiancé. Through the process, we can know each other’s real thinking and deep communications.
