e.g. Some flowers, like roses, have thorns. Be careful!

e.g. In stories sometimes they have giants that are more than four meters tall!

Grammar

For names, we don’t need to use “the” or “a”
e.g. Halloween
e.g. Nick (not “the” Nick!)

When you have “g + i,” it can make a “j” sound:
e.g. Giraffe (jer – aff)
e.g. Giant
But this doesn’t work for “i + g”:
