Vocabulary

Put your hands up – something the police might say to make sure that you aren’t holding anything dangerous

Erase / Delete – erase is to use a piece of rubber to take something off of paper; to delete is to remove something from a screen or a computer

e.g. Humans have been able to travel to space for about seventy years.

Universe – everything that exists; all things and the space they are in 宇宙

Snap your fingers – to move your finger very quickly and make a sharp noise.

Clever – smart, quick, intelligent
e.g. Hank is clever when he pays attention!

Polar Bear – a white bear that lives in very cold places 北极

Itchy – 痒

度 – Degrees (for temperature), Percent (百分之几)

Temperature – 温度

Documentary – a show that tells you about things that really happened, or which teaches you about nature
e.g. The BBC makes lots of great documentaries.

Nature – 自然
e.g. The BBC makes great nature documentaries.

Handstand – to put your hands on the ground and your feet directly above your head
