Vocabulary

Fusion – when you make two things one thing; often used for food, mixing styles
e.g. Fusion is what powers the Sun.
e.g. A new restaurant just opened up that serves Mexican-Korean fusion food.

Appetite – when you want to eat; how much you are capable of eating
e.g. That smell really gives me an appetite.
e.g. He really has a good appetite (he can eat a lot, and probably often)

Taste – the kind of things you like to eat; your ability to detect flavors
e.g. This candy is not really to my taste (maybe it’s good, but it’s not the kind of thing I like)
e.g. I have a good sense of taste.
e.g. I can taste some pepper in this.

Redundant – when you have more of one thing than you need

Credits – something you have that adds up to get you something bigger
e.g. You need 36 credits to graduate.

Speaking exercise

I will go to have a short trip after the Chinese new year. I will go to Singapore, but I haven’t decide the trip details. Usually, every time I want to go to a place, I will check the trip details in the internet and make a very detailed plan. I will check some restaurant and some tips from internet and I will put all this information into a document. When I arrive this place, I will check the tips and I will decide before the day/date I went to this place. But this/these days I didn’t have time to do this work.
