Vocabulary

Working out – to do exercise
e.g. If you want to be stronger, you should go to the gym to work out.

Doppelganger – someone who looks (almost exactly) like someone else
e.g. Tibo is my friend’s doppelganger.

Attendee vs. Participant – an attendee goes to watch or listen to listen to something; a participant goes to be a part of something
e.g. I attended the lecture to learn about digital marketing.
e.g. I participated in a dancing class (I learned to dance)

(Very) Mild – not very [adj]
Medium – sort of [adj]
Spicy / Hot – very hot

Robe – a housecoat, something you wear on top of your clothes to stay warm; or after a shower (bathrobe)

Central Heating / Central Air

Wake up naturally – 自然睡醒

Grammar

Totally BS – total / complete

I go to sleep late / I sleep late
— The first is when you lay down and fall asleep.
— The second is when you get out of bed in the morning.

The same with – the same as

I made friends with [who] / I became friends with [who]
— The first is general, and probably more than one person
— The second is usually just for some specific people

Insights into / about
— “Into” is usually for people, or a process
e.g. Insights into the way young people like to shop.
— “About” is for material
e.g. Insights into designing good websites.

— Information to help someone understand something
e.g. Insights for professionals to improve their communication skills.
