Vocabulary

background noise / background music / fondo

e.g. Sometimes listening to background

If you add the letters “-IST” to a word – it describes a person.

Grammar

to hear / you can hear someone and not listen to them / to hear takes no effort, it’s not difficult, your ears are open / it’s passive (Pasiva) / you hear it – maybe you want to, maybe you don’t

e.g. I hear the fan.

e.g. I can hear my thoughts in my head.

e.g. I would hear my mother talking when I was young – but I wasn’t listening.

to listen / you are active (activo) / you are actively hearing someone / you are hearing them closely / to want to hear it

e.g. If I hear my mother talking, I just hear the noise (Ruido) of her voice.

There are a restaurant in Shanghai called Beef and Liberty, which in the same place as the Portman Ritz-Carlton Hotel on west Nanjing road, very near to my English school. It isn’t big restaurant but in this you can eat really delicious hamburgers, since it is a specialist in this type of food. Every Monday it have some discounts like, you can buy two burgers for one.
