When do you think you should be harsh with people? When do you think you should just be nice to people? Is there ever a time where you think being rude or harsh to someone is better than just being nice…

harsh / it’s too hard, almost like “ouch that hurts when I hear it”; it also means extreme; not polite but telling the truth; to be very direct

e.g. You know your haircut…it’s new, but it’s really ugly. OHH, that’s harsh.

e.g. When I speak, my accent is harsh (strong).

e.g. Sometimes you need to be harsh with people.

Speaking exercise

I want be married, but I haven’t found …but I also think I’m not good with other people and have a family maybe will you should have responsibility and for your children if you have children.

I would like to be married, but I haven’t found anyone yet. I’m not a “people person”…perhaps I will have a family one day. I think if you have family you should be responsible for your children.

So I think I don’t have this ability at least now. I think that’s the reason, I’m also afraid of get married. I’m not good at live with other people. I’m not good at talking and I’m not good at communication, that’s the reason.

So I don’t think I’m ready right now. I think that’s the reason: I’m also just afraid of getting married. I’m not good at living with other people. I’m not good at talking and I’m not a great communicator  — those are the main reasons.

Most of my friend get married. So actually now I don’t have a lot of friends because I lost all my friends.
