For homework make a drawing of you wearing your favourite clothes. Write a story about what you’re wearing in the drawing and why these are your favourite clothes


Today I’m wearing a grey cardigan, a black sweater, a white shirt and a pink turtleneck, skirt and a white pair of tights


turtleneck (n): a high, round collar that folds over on itself and covers the neck, or a piece of clothing with this type of collar
E.g.: I’d prefer a sweater with a turtleneck.
E.g.: Why don’t you wear your black turtleneck?

cardigan (n): a piece of clothing, usually made from wool, that covers the upper part of the body and the arms, fastening at the front with buttons, and usually worn over other clothes
E.g.: Put on your red wool cardigan – it’ll be nice and warm.
E.g.: She came to the door in a frumpy cardigan and fluffy slippers.

skirt (n): a piece of clothing for women and girls that hangs from the waist and does not have legs
E.g.: She wore a red skirt and a white shirt.
E.g.: a long/short skirt

tights (n): a piece of clothing made of thin material that covers the legs and lower part of the body below the waist, worn by women and girls
E.g.: She bought a new pair of tights.

wool (n): thick thread or material that is made from this
