Vocabulary

exam (n): a test of a student’s knowledge or skill in a particular subject

Final exam-期末考试

essay (n): a short piece of writing on a particular subject, especially one done by students as part of the work for a course
(尤指学生写的作为课程作业的)短文;论说文;小品文,散文
E.g.: For homework I want you to write an essay on endangered species.

E.g.: Mr Jones thought my history essay was terrific.

fish and chips (n): fish covered with batter (= a mixture of flour, eggs, and milk) and then fried and served with pieces of fried potato

remote (n) :a piece of equipment that you hold in your hand and use to control a television, DVD player, etc.

attic (n): the space or room at the top of a building, under the roof, often used for storing things

thirsty crow-口渴的乌鸦

One day a crow fly in the sky, he thinks he is thirsty. He want to drank some water and he find a bottle of water but the bottle is long and thin, the crow don’t drink the water  the crow was sad but he look at some pebble near he. He has an idea and put the pebble into the bottle now he can drink the water. The crow is happy

One day a crow was flying across the sky, he thought of how he was thirsty. He wanted to drink some water and he found a bottle of water but the bottle was long and narrow, the crow couldn’t drink/reach the water, the crow was sad but he saw at some pebbles near him. He got an idea, so he put the pebble into the bottle and now he could reach the water. The crow was happy.
