Vocabulary

habitat (n): a habitat is a place that gives animals food, water and shelter.

E.g.: Animals have to live in habitats that have what they need
E.g.: Deserts are hot and dry habitats.

shelter (n):遮蔽，庇护，避难（避雨、躲避危险或攻击）protection from rain, danger or attack
E.g.: to take shelter from the storm躲避暴风雨
E.g.: he fox was running for the shelter of the trees.狐狸朝树丛跑，想要躲藏起来。
E.g.:  The trees gave/provided some shelter from the rain. 这些树遮了一些雨。

desert (n): 1-沙漠,. an area, often covered with sand or rocks, where there is very little rain and not many plants
E.g.: They were lost in the desert for nine days. 他们在沙漠里迷路已经有9天了。
E.g.: the desert sun 沙漠里的太阳
