We gotta learn the poem by heart

by heart-learned in such a way that you can repeat it from memory

overcome (v): 1-to defeat or succeed in controlling or dealing with something克服；战胜；攻克；解决
E.g: to overcome difficulties/obstacles/problems/resistance
克服困难／障碍／难题／阻力
E.g: Eventually she managed to overcome her shyness in class.
她终于克服了上课时的羞怯。

face (v): 1-If you face a problem, or a problem faces you, you have to deal with it.面对，面临，必须对付（难题）
E.g.: You’re faced with a very difficult choice there.
你眼下面临一项艰难的抉择。
