gate-大门, like a door that is used to close an opening in a fence or a wall outside a building
E.g.: He opened the gate and started walking up to the house.他打开大门，迈步朝房子走去。

flag (n): 1-旗帜
E.g.: the Italian flag意大利国旗
E.g.: the flag of Italy-意大利国旗
E.g.: The flag of China is red

joke (v): 1-说笑话；开玩笑 to say sth to make people laugh; to tell a funny story
E.g.: She was laughing and joking with the children.她同孩子们一起嘻嘻哈哈地说笑话。

stairs (n): 楼梯
E.g.: Go up the stairs and her room is on the right.

upstairs (adj/adv): 1-在（或向）楼上；在（或向）上一层
up the stairs; on or to a floor of a house or other building higher than the one that you are on
E.g.: The cat belongs to the people who live upstairs.这猫是楼上人家的。

E.g.: I carried her bags upstairs.我把她的包拿到楼上。

downstairs (adv):to or on a lower floor of a building, especially the ground floor朝楼下，在楼下（尤指底层）
