a small, flat computer that is controlled by touching the screen or by using a special pen

etch (v): to cut a pattern, picture, etc. into a smooth surface, especially on metal or glass, using acid or a sharp instrument
(尤指在金属或玻璃上)蚀刻,凿出
E.g.: He etched his name on a piece of glass.
他把自己的名字蚀刻在一块玻璃上。

be etched on/in sb’s memory
to be something that you will continue to remember
永志不忘;铭记
E.g.: The scene will be etched on my memory forever.
这一场景将永远铭刻在我的记忆中。

There are two different uses for ‘in’ and ‘on’ in this context. “What do you have in mind?” means “What is your preference/plan?”
We say “What is on your mind?”  to mean “What is worrying you?”.

tolerate (v): to accept behaviour and beliefs that are different from your own, although you might not agree with or approve of them
宽容;容忍
E.g.: I will not tolerate that kind of behaviour in my class.
在我的课堂上我不会容许那种行为。
E.g.: I won’t tolerate lying.
我不会容忍说谎。

laundry (n): the dirty clothes and sheets that need to be, are being, or have been washed:
E.g.: I’ve got to do (= wash) my laundry.
