Vocabulary

course (n): a set of classes or a plan of study on a particular subject, usually leading to an exam or qualification
课程;教程
E.g.: They’re going away on a training course next week.
下星期他们要出去上实习课。
E.g.: I’d like to do a writing course when I retire.

E.g.:  Tim did a three-year course in linguistics at Newcastle.

attend (v): to go officially and usually regularly to a place

tear up (v): to get tears in your eyes, so that you almost start to cry, because you are experiencing a strong emotion
