loan (v):sth (to sb) | 借出,贷与(尤指钱)
to lend sth to sb, especially money
E.g.: The bank is happy to loan money to small businesses.
银行乐于贷款给小型企业。
E.g.: A friend loaned me $1 000.
有一位朋友借给我1 000元。

labor market (n): the supply of people in a particular country or area who are able and willing to work
劳动力市场
E.g.: More women are being encouraged into the labour market these days.

cut (v) (REDUCE)to make something shorter, lower, smaller, etc.

naive (adj): too willing to believe that someone is telling the truth, that people’s intentions in general are good, or that life is simple and fair. People are often naive because they are young and/or have not had much experience of life

E.g.: It was a little naive of you to think that they would listen to your suggestions.

workload (n): the amount of work to be done, especially by a particular person or machine in a period of time
