specialization (n): a particular area of knowledge or the process of becoming an expert in a particular area:
E.g.: Specialization (= limiting study or work to one particular area) usually doesn’t occur until PhD level.

pediatrician –a doctor who has special training in medical care for children

cholesterol (n): 胆固醇a fatty substance that is found in the body tissue and blood of all animals, and which is thought to be part of the cause of heart disease if there is too much of it
E.g.:  Too much cholesterol in a person’s blood can cause heart disease.

plaque build-up

plaque (n): 1- a substance that may grow inside the body with certain diseases:
E.g.: About 20 companies are working on treatments for Alzheimer’s that would interfere with plaque formation.
