Vocabulary

join the club -An expression used when two people have something unpleasant in common.
E.g.: Yeah, join the club—I hardly got any sleep last night either.

nearsighted (adj): Someone who is nearsighted cannot see objects clearly that are far away.

far-sighted (adj): long-sighted able to see objects that are far away but not things that are near to you
E.g.: I’m so far-sighted, I can’t read the newspaper without my glasses.

physical (examination)-full body check
a careful look at a person’s body by a doctor in order to discover if that person is healthy, sometimes done before a person can be accepted for a particular job:
E.g.: Every time I go to Spain I get a full physical

thread (n):(a length of) a very thin fibre:
needle and thread

mortgage  (n): HIPOTECA-an agreement that allows you to borrow money from a bank or similar organization, especially in order to buy a house, or the amount of money itself:
E.g.: They took out a £40o,000 mortgage (= they borrowed £40o,000) to buy the house.
E.g.: a monthly mortgage payment

fulfill (v): to do something as promised or intended, or to satisfy your hopes or expectations:
E.g.: Over here I fulfilled some of my dreams
E.g.: At the age of 45, she finally fulfilled her ambition to run a marathon.

fulfilled (adj):feeling happy because you are getting everything that you want from life:
E.g.: For the first time in my life, I feel really fulfilled.
