Vocabulary

proud (adj): feeling pleasure and satisfaction because you or people connected with you have done or got something good:
E.g.: You must be very proud of your son.
E.g.: I’m proud of my mother.-我为我母亲感到骄傲

honesty (n):诚实 the quality of being honest:
E.g.: I appreciate your honesty.
E.g.: She answered all my questions with her usual honesty.她像平常一样老老实实地回答了我的所有问题。

honest (adj): 1-telling the truth or able to be trusted and not likely to steal, cheat, or lie:
E.g.: She’s completely honest.
E.g.: I’d like you to give me an honest answer

respect (n): 1-politeness, honor, and care shown towards someone or something that is considered important:
E.g.: You really should treat your parents with more respect.
E.g.: She has no respect for other people’s property (= she does not treat it carefully).

fair/just-公正的 (adj): treating someone in a way that is right or reasonable, or treating a group of people equally and not allowing personal opinions to influence your judgment:
E.g.: a fair trial
E.g.: Why should I have to do all the cleaning? It’s not fair!
E.g.: It’s not fair on Joe (= it is not right) to make him do all the work!

own (v): to have something that legally belongs to you:
E.g.: We own our house.
E.g.: I’ve never owned a car in my life.

owner (n): 主人
E.g.: Who’s the owner of this phone?

vocabulary (n): 1-all the words known and used by a particular person:
E.g.: a wide/limited vocabulary-词汇量大 / 有限
E.g.: By the age of two a child will have a vocabulary of about two hundred words.

My mother’s vocabulary is rich, but Leo’s vocabulary is poor. 🙂
