Vocabulary

same old same old-used to say that a situation or someone’s behaviour remains the same, especially when it is boring or annoying:
E.g.: Most people just keep on doing the same old same old every day.

extracurricular-An extracurricular activity or subject is not part of the usual school or college course.(活动、主题等)课外的

curriculum (n): 1-the subjects studied in a school, college, etc. and what each subject includes

E.g.: the school curriculum
学校课程
E.g.: Most of the teachers in public schools only care about the curriculum.

teenager-青少年,a young person between 13 and 19 years old
(13岁至19岁的)青少年
E.g.: The magazine is aimed at teenagers and young adults.

subject (n): 1-an area of knowledge that is studied in school, college, or university:
E.g.: My favorite subjects at school were history and English.

allocate (v):to give something to someone as their share of a total amount, to use in a particular way
分配;分派;拨给,划拨
E.g.: The government is allocating £10 million for health education.
政府将拨出1000万英镑作为健康教育经费。
E.g.: As project leader, you will have to allocate people jobs/allocate jobs to people.

upbringing (n): the way in which you are treated and educated when young, especially by your parents, especially in relation to the effect that this has on how you behave and make moral decisions

E.g.: Your Dad’s upbringing was totally different to mine.

rude (adj):not polite; offensive or embarrassing
不礼貌的;粗鲁的,粗野的;讨厌的
E.g.: He’s a very rude man.
他这人很粗鲁。
E.g.: It’s rude not to say “Thank you” when you are given something.
别人给你东西,你不说“谢谢”是不礼貌的

embarrass (v): 1-to cause someone to feel nervous, worried, or uncomfortable
使尴尬,使窘迫;使为难
E.g.: You’re embarrassing him with your compliments!
你的赞美之词使他很不好意思。
E.g.: I didn’t want to embarrass her in front of her friends.
我并不想在她朋友面前让她感到难堪。
