said when something, especially money, is easily got and then soon spent or lost(尤指钱)来得容易去得快
E.g.: I lost £500 in a card game last night, but that’s life – easy come, easy go.

failure (n): 1-the fact of someone or something not succeeding

E.g.: The meeting was a complete/total failure.

gathering (n): 1-a party or a meeting when many people come together as a group

E.g.: There will be a gathering of world leaders in Vienna next month.

outsider (n): 1-a person who is not involved with a particular group of people or organization or who does not live in a particular place

E.g.: Outsiders have a glamorized idea of what it is like to work in Hollywood.

E.g.: As a child he was very much an outsider, never participating in the games other children played.

plateau (n): 1-a period during which there are no large changes
平稳期;停滞期
E.g.: The US death rate reached a plateau in the 1960s, before declining suddenly.

plateau (v): 1-to reach a particular level and then stay the same稳定;停滞
E.g.: I’d been losing about a pound a week on my diet, but recently I’ve plateaued and haven’t lost an ounce.
