vice (-a moral fault or weakness in someone’s character

Greed, pride, envy, and lust are considered to be vices.

dismember (v): 1-to cut, tear, or pull the arms and legs off a human body肢解,分割…的肢体
E.g.: The police found the dismembered body of a young man in the murderer’s freezer.

absorb (v):to take something in, especially gradually(尤指逐渐)吸收
E.g.: Plants absorb carbon dioxide.

desensitize (v): 1-to cause someone to experience something, usually an emotion or a pain, less strongly than before:
