Apartment Complex – A group of apartments, usually with amenities like a pool, gym, etc
eg. My apartment complex has 10 buildings

Daunting – Something that makes you anxious or scared

Infrastructure – The roads, bridges, and buildings that consist and area
eg. China’s infrastructure is much more developed that Haiti

Tandem – To do with someone
eg. The first time I went skydiving they made me do it in tandem.

Autonomous – to operate without outside influence
eg. Catalonia is an autonomous region within Spain.

Hitchhike – To get a free ride in a car
eg. I hitchhiked through Europe last summer.

Corrupt – an official who uses their power immorally or illegally
eg. Xi Jingping is cracking down on corruption lately.
