Speaking exercise

At the time, I had two offers: one is from Google and the other one is from Uber, which was basically a Rockstar start-up at that moment, and it was pre-IPO. So I was having a very difficult decision at that time. Basically, choosing between these two offers means choosing between two lifestyles. Working for Google is more like a safe choice, where you were compensated really well, having a decent life, great work/life balance, but lacking of some kind of excitement. And working for Uber, which was basically the opposite, where as you can kind riding the roller coaster. I mean not as much as when Uber just got started, cuz at that time Uber was having three to five thousand employees. So, it’s not a real start up anymore, but still much smaller than Google. At that time I was so hesitated on making the decision, so I talked with a bunch of people, probably more than ten people with different backgrounds, and tries to gather their input on which shall I choose.
