Corrections to Make a cake
- “Bake a Cake” not Make a Cake
- whit should be spelled white.
- whisk can be a noun (the thing you use to mix something together) and a verb (the action of using the whisk to mix things together).
- flour – pronounced the same as flower
- Flour Egg (separate the egg yolk from the egg white, and set the whites aside)
- “Pour the flour into the oil and milk.”
- Battle should be “batter”
- Should include oven temperature and baking time.
Vocabulary
Dense – thick, crowded together
Goofy – the name of the dog next to Mickey Mouse in your photos at Disneyland
Canon – it’s the weapon on a ship that shoots big, heavy balls.
Opinion and fact – facts are things that cannot be argued. “This is the floor,” is a fact. “This floor is pretty,” is an opinion. “This cake is yucky,” is an opinion, while “This is a cake,” is a fact.
Grammar
“yesterday and yesterday” – two days ago
yucky – the opposite of yummy
when you have two of something and you lose those two things, you would say “I lost them both”
