Corrections to Make a cake

  1. “Bake a Cake” not Make a Cake
  2. whit should be spelled white.
  3. whisk can be a noun (the thing you use to mix something together) and a verb (the action of using the whisk to mix things together).
  4. flour – pronounced the same as flower
  5. Flour Egg (separate the egg yolk from the egg white, and set the whites aside)
  6. “Pour the flour into the oil and milk.”
  7. Battle should be “batter”
  8. Should include oven temperature and baking time.

Vocabulary

Dense – thick, crowded together

Goofy – the name of the dog next to Mickey Mouse in your photos at Disneyland

Canon – it’s the weapon on a ship that shoots big, heavy balls.

Opinion and fact – facts are things that cannot be argued. “This is the floor,” is a fact. “This floor is pretty,” is an opinion. “This cake is yucky,” is an opinion, while “This is a cake,” is a fact.

Grammar

“yesterday and yesterday” – two days ago

yucky – the opposite of yummy

when you have two of something and you lose those two things, you would say “I lost them both
