Today we focused on:
Essay structure
Vocabulary
graph – a picture that shows you information in the form of a bar, line or curve
evaluate – assess the value or importance of something
structure an essay – put an essay together
curfew – a set time that you must be back at your dorm
Grammar
present perfect tense – has an effect in the present
has/have + past participle
ex. I have been worried about my essay.
ex. I have watched the news already.
Speaking exercise
We have an economic essay so I’m worried. The deadline is next Friday so we don’t have enough time. After that we have Financial Accounting test and a report about  Business skills. Next month we have to prepare for the final exam.
I haven’t start it because I don’t know how to make a good essay because we have too much things to write. Our teacher told us we need to write at least 4 graph.

Introduction:Â
-Provide a background of the problem (shouldn’t be specific/use some information from the past)
-Formulate your thesis statement/essay question from the background
-Finish the introduction by leading into the first main point
Body:Â
-Main point (1 detail related to the main question)
-Detail/Use the graph to highlight/prove your point (detailed)
-Example/how does this link back to the main argument of the essay?
-Provide suggestions at the end
Conclusion: Â
-Summarise/Paraphrase your essay questions
-Highlight the main points of each body paragraph
-Provide suggestions/same as body paragraphs
