Vocabulary

stamp – 印章

thumbs up! – put your thumb up

borrow – to ask for something from another person and then give back to him later

eg. You borrowed an eraser from your friend but then you lost it.

lend – to give something to someone for a short while

eg. You can lend him your pencil for this class.

by accident – you didn’t really want to do it

eg. I killed the good man by accident.

eg. The driver said he didn’t mean to hit the dog – it was by accident.

discount/sale – when it’s cheaper than it usually is

she will compare to see which shop is cheaper – 比较

she has a craving for potato chips- to feel like you want to eat or have something

control – to order, say or tell how someone or something behaves 控制；命令

eg. This button can control when the door opens or closes.

eg. She finds it hard to control her dog.

big eater – somebody who eats a lot

eg. Mr Bean’s friends is a big eater.

sleepwalk – 梦游

eg. He sleepwalks at night and eats a lot of food.

I buy drinks in the supermarket. But, sometimes there are many many shop can buy it and my mum will look which shop is the cheaper. I will buy potato chips. Yes, because sometimes I like it and sometimes I don’t like it. Sometimes, on the afternoon.

I fell off the stairs while reading a book. I lost my pencil while walking in the street. I bit my tongue while chatting with my mother. I spilled my milk while having my breakfast. I couldn’t find my eraser while writing in my classroom. It was terrible.
