Vocabulary

eg. Lucy eats too many french fries.

a bucket of ice cream – 一桶

a cup of ice cream/a scoop of ice cream/ a cone of ice cream

buy -> bought (past tense)

spend money/time: 花(钱;时间)

eg. I spent too much money this week on groceries.

eg. She spent too much time finishing her homework.

sour: é…¸

eg. The kiwi is too sour so I don’t like it.

salty: å’¸

eg. Don’t eat too much salt because it’s too salty!

Grammar

a little vs. a few 

a little – uncountable 

eg. a little milk/water/tea/money/ice cream/fish/butter

a few – countable 

eg. cookies/people/apples/cows/lemons/french fries

How many ? How much?

too many vs. too much 

too many – countable 

eg. There are too many students in my school?

eg. The building has too many cats.

too much – uncountable

eg. There are too much chocolate on the desk – I will eat them.

eg. You gave me too much water.

some vs. lots of 

some – more than one but you don’t want to count

eg. There are some buildings.

eg. There are some students in the library.

lots of – a large number (you can’t count!)

eg. There are lots of buildings.

eg. There are lots of cows on the farm.

Speaking exercise

Last weekend I had to go English class. English class is on Sunday. On Saturday I was to home. I watched some cartoons.

My favourite vegetable is broccoli. My least favourite vegetable eggplant. It taste very terrible. My least favourite fruit is kiwi. It tastes salty.
