For CNY, everything was cancelled. We planned to have dinner with family and friends and take my son to ä¹å› and travelling around SH. Everything was cancelled and my company because of too many complex problems, too much. My son, I was looking for a kindergarten but it was cancelled, so I have to take care of him at home. His attention span is limited. Every day, he ask to me, “mum I want to go outside”. I told him there’s a virus at outside and he said, “he want to play with virus”. He don’t know what is virus. My best friend is from Wuhan and she is in a much worse situation than us. Every day, everyone is talking about the virus. One month ago my friend in the USA try to cheer me up but now my friend in USA, he need our help to deliver mask to him. My friend live in Los Angeles but I can’t imagine in Los Angeles, all shops are closed, everything except supermarket is open. Even public traffic is closed. He find tutor to teach his children two hours every day.

Quarantine hotel is just 200-400 one hotel and you need to provide food every day. The Japanese are very calm and they work like normal. I think this company have many sufferings. They are all staff like normal. My friend told me when he go to shopping mall to make payment and the sales very scared of him. I think I don’t want to go anywhere recently because I think everywhere they hate Chinese.

Revised:

My plans for CNY were cancelled. We planned to have dinner with family and friends and take my son to the amusement park as well as travelling around SH. Everything has changed suddenly so my company has to deal with many complex problems. I was looking for a kindergarten for my son for his winter holiday, but it was closed so I have to take care of him at home by myself. His attention span is limited. Every day, he asked me, “mum, I want to go outside”. I told him, “there’s a virus outside” and he said, “he wants to play with the virus”. He doesn’t know what is the virus. My best friend is from Wuhan and she is in a situation much worse than us. Every day, everyone is talking about the virus. One month ago, my friend who is in the USA tried to cheer me up but now my friend, he needs our help to deliver masks to him. My friend lives in Los Angeles but I can’t imagine that in Los Angeles, all shops are closed, everything except supermarkets are open. Even public transport is not running. He found a tutor to teach his children two hours every day.

Quarantine hotels charge the government just 200-400RMB one day and the price includes accommodation fee and food.  The Japanese are very calm and they go to work like normal. I think Japanese people have experienced many sufferings. All staff go to work like normal. My friend told me that when he went to the shopping mall to make payments, the salesperson was very scared of him. I think I don’t want to go anywhere recently because I’m afraid that most places are not friendly to Chinese people.
