Use the vocabulary from these two classes to describe what’s happening in the picture.

Today we focused on:

Directions/Prepositions practice

Vocabulary

across from = opposite

ex. The hospital is across from the museum.

cross the street – walk to the other side of the street

ex. Don’t cross the street when the traffic lights are red.

go through – to walk into a building/park/place and then get out to get to another place

ex. Go through the shopping mall to get to the subway station.

intersection – a point where two roads meet

ex. Meet me at the intersection between Main street and Oak street.

sink – a place for you to do your dishes in the kitchen

go straight = walk straight

ex. Go straight on Oak street.

washbasin – a place for you to brush your teeth

stool – a small chair

boxing fight/competition – the sport which uses your hands to hit

Asking for Directions: 

Excuse me, how do I get to A from B? (you start from B)

Excuse me, how do I get to the Post Office from City Middle school?

Excuse me, where is the Middle School?

Excuse me, how do I get to River Park?

Giving Directions: 

Go straight on 3rd Avenue and turn left on Main Street and the Post Office is on your right.

Walk along Oak Street and turn left on 2nd Avenue. The Fire Station is opposite/across from the Library.


Mrs Wicket saw a competition on the TV. They bought a ticket to go to watch the competition. When they got to the place, there is no parking there so Mr Bean parked in from of a door of a car. There was a boxer in the car and he couldn’t get out. Mr Bean wanted to give Mrs Wicket a thing so he go into the house and the boxer didn’t come. Mr Bean go into the room and other people thought he is the boxer. Mr Bean wanted to go out, but the other people catch him in the house again. The other wanted to catch him and Mr Bean ran away. The boxer run to a fence when he drop on the ground. Mr Bean was the winner, but this time the boxer open the door of the car and got out. He got into the house and hit Mr Bean. Then, two people come and help Mr Bean. Then, the boxer drop on the ground and they won and they were very happy.

Mr Bean went into the room and other people thought he is the boxer. Mr Bean wanted to leave, but the others caught him in the house again. The others wanted to catch him, but Mr Bean ran away. The boxer ran to a fence when he dropped to the ground. Mr Bean was the winner, but this time the boxer opened the door of the car and got out. He got into the house and hit Mr Bean. Then, two people came over to help Mr Bean. Then, the boxer dropped to the ground and they won and they were very happy.
