When Warden ask Pendanski to fill everyone’s canteens, Warden told him that and he had just filled everyone’s canteens and he didn’t do it agian. Then, Warden give him to fill the canteen or dig the hole. Cause Mr Pendanski didn’t want to dig a hole so he filled everyone’s canteens. Maybe it’s made of gold. Just because it’s valuable.

When the Warden asked Pendanski to fill everyone’s canteens, The Warden told him to do it, but he said he had just filled everyone’s canteens and he didn’t need to do it again. Then, the Warden told him that he could either fill everyone’s canteens or dig a hole. Because Mr Pendanski didn’t want to dig a hole so he filled everyone’s canteens. Maybe it’s made of gold.
