In the 7th chapter, it talked about the first day of Stanley’s Greenlake Camp. He was told to dig a hole on the ground and he dig for a long time and think it is the hardest day in his life. Because he is digging a hole for the first time, he dig for a long time. He dig more than others and he should dig in the hottest time in a day because he was too slow. In the afternoon, he finally finished his hole and go back to the camp.

In chapter 8, it talked about the yellow-spotted lizard. It is a lizard with yellow-green skin, white eyes and black teeth and it have 11 yellow spots which is hard to see. It is also poisonous.

In chapter 9, it talked about Stanley feel very pain and ache in the afternoon, after he dig the hole and he have no strength to do anything during rest time. Other boys in the group are playing beside the pool and then Stanley write letter to his mum and he told his mum that he have a happy day to let her don’t worry about him.

In chapter 10, Stanley feel more paintful than the last day in the morning and he found himself hard to get up the bed. But, he need to dig a hole earlier because he don’t want to dig the hole during the hottest time in the day. After he having the breakfast, he go out and digging a hole and when he dig a hole he found a kind of fish in the ground because it was once a lake there. He thinks that is something interesting and he want to give it to Mr Pendanski. When Mr Pendanski come by driving the water car, Mr Pendanski told him, “Mr Warden won’t be interested in these things and he should continue digging a hole”.
