Waste/trash/rubbish sorting : putting trash into different categories
Initiative: a plan or program that is intended to solve a problem
eg. The government has proposed a new initiative to improve conditions in urban schools.
Glutinous: sticky
eg. glutinous rice
Skewers: a long pointed piece of metal or wood that is pushed through pieces of food to keep them together or hold them in place for cooking.
Congregate: to come together in a group or crowd
eg. Students congregate at the dining halls during lunch time.
Compliance: the act or process of doing what you have been asked or ordered to do
eg. Residents were rewarded for their compliance with the new regulations.
Depot: a place where goods are stored
Remedy (v): to solve, correct or improve (something)
eg. Something must be done to remedy the problem.
Regulation: an official rule or law that says how something should be done
eg. Construction workers should comply with the safety regulations when working on site.
