Speaking exercise

Last week, my friends invited my cousin and me to a party. She wants people who she invited to dress up as hippies. She dress up as Marilyn Monroe. Last Saturday was her birthday, she’s 50 years old. She wants all people to dress up. I couldn’t find some dress, or similar this year. Finally I search for dress up like a hippie. We ate a lot of tapas.

I watched a video 2 years ago on how many things people buy on that day. I bought a carpet in Taobao, When they send me that, I saw the quality was different than photo, I decide to refund, I need people to help me because my Chinese is bad. I don’t know how to use it that time. When I back to Spain, I don’t know what I do without Taobao.

Revised

Last week, my friends invited my cousin and me to a party. She wants people who she invited to dress up as hippies. She dressed up as Marilyn Monroe. Last Saturday was her birthday, she’s 50 years old. She wanted everyone/ everybody to dress up. I couldn’t find any dress, or anything related to hippies. Finally I decided to dress up like a hippie. We ate a lot of tapas.

I watched a video 2 years ago on how many things people buy on that day. I bought a carpet on Taobao, When they sent me the carpet/ the product, I saw the quality was different than the photo, I decided to return it, I needed people to help me because my Chinese is bad. I didn’t know how to use it at that time. When I go back to Spain, I don’t know what to do without Taobao.

Reading

A: I made a terrible decision buying this house. It’s in a bad location and it needs a lot of repairs. What was I thinking?
B: Sounds like buyer’s remorse, my friend. Relax. The repairs aren’t serious and it only takes five minutes to get to the train station.

A: Lovely new car!
B: Thanks, but I’m feeling terrible buyer’s remorse right now. It was so expensive. What if I lose my job?
A: Why did I order lobster soup? Your potato soup was half the price, and it’s tastier.
B: I know the feeling – I always order the wrong thing and then get some serious buyer’s remorse. Let’s share.
