Vocabulary

1.semester= 学期的
ex: in the Fall semester, we will have 4 new classes.
ex: After New Year, we will start our spring semester.

2. on sabbatical/ on leave/ taking a break : on break 休假
ex: Dr Stevens is on sabbatical next year, we might have another teacher teaching the course.

3. core (noun/adj)= 核心
ex: you need to work on your core if you want to be fit.
ex: the core module assignment

4. maternity leave= 产假
ex: My sister had a one year maternity leave.

5. bereavement leave＝ 丧假
ex: My sister was on her bereavement leave and she came back to SH to visit me.
