Speaking exercise

Talk about something that annoys you. Why does it annoy you? How do you react when someone does this? Do you think this annoys others as well?

I don’t like people using my things without my permission. It’s not polite if people do that. Everyone has his personal information, everyone has things they don’t want others to know, so am I. If people using my things they didn’t allow, I would be very angry. Especially people I am not familiar with. For example, if people we rent a same house, we are roommate, but not familiar with her, and she use my chopsticks, I will be very angry. If I tell people that I don’t like this, and they still do that, I may not talk to them anymore. If people think my way, I suppose that they would be angry too. So it’s really annoying that using other one things without their permission.

Revised

I don’t like people using my things without my permission. It’s not polite whenĀ people do that. People have their own privacy, and haveĀ things they don’t want to share, so doĀ I. If people useĀ my things without asking me/ without my permission, I would be very angry. Especially those whoĀ I am not familiar with. For example, if my roommateĀ uses my chopsticks, I will be very angry. If they still do this afterĀ I tell them,Ā I may not talk to them anymore. , I suppose that othersĀ would be angry too, if people use their things without asking. So it’s really annoying that other people use yourĀ things withoutĀ permission.

Discuss why people borrow money? When? who can they borrow from? What are the risks?

I think sometimes people borrow money because they really lack of money. For example, people want to buy a house, it’s a large of money and they can’t afford this in a short time, so they would borrow money from others. Maybe they can borrow from their friends, or they can borrow from agencies. If they borrow from their friends, I think it’s less pressure because their friends wouldn’t ask them to bring back immediately. I think some people would borrow money because they don’t want use their own money. They would use their money for some important things to buy some things they like. For others things they would borrow from HuaBei. I think it will build a bad habit for them. If you are lack of money, just work hard to earn it.

Writing exercise

Which one would you choose, a low salary job but you like or a high salary job you donā€™t like?

If I just graduate and donā€™t have much money, I would choose a higher salary job, regardless I like it or not. Iā€™d like to earn more money first, then Iā€™ll do things I like.

We usually donā€™t have lots of choices if weā€™re weak. We canā€™t use money to do anything, but money can get you more respects from others sometimes. If you want to do the low salary job you like, how can you survive? What about things you like, how are you going to buy them? So I suppose that we can choose a high salary job at first to get ourself more power.

Itā€™s also ok if you choose a low salary job. In this case, you should work very hard on your job to improve your skills, or youā€™ll be hard to raise your salary.
