Grammar

i think my job have some worries–> I think my job is boring

Even though= Although
even though it’s raining, I have to work (NO BUT)
Although it’s raining, I have to work (NO BUT)

except= other than
I like to eat all kinds of food except for spicy food.
Other than spicy food, I like to eat all kinds of food.

haven’t= have not + past past tense
ex: I haven’t eaten for 2 days
ex: I haven’t seen Judy for 2 hours.
ex: I haven’t finished my writing homework.

Vocabulary

1. weekday= Monday to Friday
ex: I don’t work on the weekdays, I work on the weekends.

2. jobless= don’t have a job
ex: I was jobless from January to March because I was in Canada.

3. careless—- careful
ex: He is a very careless driver
ex: she is a careless mother, she doesn’t remember to feed her baby.

4. pointless= 没é‡ç‚¹ 没æ„义
ex: This meeting is very pointless, it’s a waste of time.
ex: it’s pointless to talk back to your parents, they always win.

5. talk back= 回嘴
ex: do you talk back to your parents?

6. pick up XX= 跟得上
ex: if you want to repeat after her, you need to pick up your speed.
ex: most students have been having online classes, they need to pick up their studying habit.

Writing exercise

I have been studying English for six months, although I haven’t make more progress in English, but I still to keep learning English. I am interested in English grammar, I thought it was very difficult before. English have more different from Chinese, It’s regular and I find more interesting from that. In my free time , I read some simple article ,when I looked some difficult vocabulary, I would write down and look up the word in dictionary, but I can’t totally remember these words. Except reciting words, there are a big difficult for me that I can’t speak English, so I have to work hard on speaking.

In my free time , I read some simple articles ,when I see some difficult vocabularies, I would write them down and look up the words in the dictionary, but I can’t totally remember all of these words. Other than reciting words, speaking English is a big difficulty/problem for me, so I have to work hard on speaking.
