Even if I’m on the treadmill, I also study English on my cellphone. My friend always told me the small one in the children always smarter than the older one. I try to influence them, especially for my daughter. I give an opportunity to talk about something like this to her “you need to remember you have an obligation to take care of your brother in the future”. I think she couldn’t understand, but she’s scared for me, so she will say ” I know I know”. I trying to change some ways to my daughter, I started to do like simple things first. I bought a small Pikachu, and hang it on her backpack when she was sleeping. I ask her “what do you want for your birthday gift?” she answered that she likes a toy, but her mother said “you need to save money, don’t spend a lot on this type of toys”. Then I told her, “don’t worry, if you really like, I will buy it for you”.

Revised

Even if I’m on the treadmill, I also study English on my cellphone. My friend always told me the youngest child is always the smartest among the siblings. I try to influence them, especially for my daughter. I had an opportunity to talk about something like this to her “you need to remember you have an obligation to take care of your brother in the future”. I don’t think she could understand, but she’s scared of me, so she will say ” I know I know”. I am trying to change how I treat my daughter, I started to do like simple things first. I bought a small Pikachu, and hung it on her backpack when she was sleeping. I asked her “what do you want for your birthday gift?” she answered that she likes a toy, but her mother said “you need to save money, don’t spend a lot on this type of toys”. Then I told her, “don’t worry, if you really like it, I will buy it for you”.

Feifei: Rob,你应该知道边吃东西边说话是很不礼貌的吧?You know that it’s impolite to eat and talk right?

Rob: Sorry, sorry! It’s just somebody left these doughnuts here and I had to eat them – I have a soft spot for doughnuts.

Feifei: Couldn’t you just wait?

Rob: No, sorry, I can’t. Oh, is that chocolate I can see in your bag? You couldn’t spare a few chunks, could you? I have a soft spot for chocolate as well.

Feifei: I would never share my chocolates with you。But can I assume a ‘soft spot’ refers to your large and soft belly you have as a result of eating too many sweet things?

Rob: How dare you! Having a soft spot doesn’t mean having a fat belly – not that I have one anyway. If you have a soft spot for something, it means you have the feeling of really liking something or someone.
