It’s a new develpment, before, we pay more attention how much we make, but now we are more care about that industry you will make it work. Before, if you work in the government, you will get rich respect. You have a stable job. Teachers, doctors.

The first thing I think is the house. In China, it’s very hard to buy a house, especially in the city. If you own your own house, it means you have the power and money to get the house. After you own your house, the car is a must item. What car you own is a big factor to show how rich you are. People will judge you how rich you are from your bag and clothes. I think before there are three things can show your status: watch, telephone and camera. If you have the three items, you can be seen as a rich people, before, these things are expensive.
