Vocabulary

1.bilingual (adj)= know two languages
ex: I am bilingual, I can speak Chinese and English.

2. bisexual (adj) = like two genders
ex: do you believe that people are born bisexual?

3. demanding (adj)= a person with lots of needs
ex: she’s a really demanding student, so I’m really scared to have class with her
ex: my boss is demanding because she always make me do things according to her ways/rules.

4. according to XX= gen ju XX, based on XX
ex: i have to draw it according to the instructions.
ex: According to Judy, it’s important to look nice in a class.

5. vague (adj)= 模糊的
ex: her instructions were too vague, i didn’t know what she wanted exactly.

6. not up to scratch= doesn’t meet the standard
ex: your work is not up to scratch, please do it again.
ex: If my work is not up to scratch, I will try and redo it.

7. content (noun)= 内容
ex: i like the content, but could you write it in your own words?

Today I felt sad because last night, I worked late, and I need to prepare a manual for closed stores. For these brands, the performance of the business is not good, so we decided to close a lot of store in the second half of year. We need to draft a document about goods returned. I don’t know make my boss satisfied, so I prepared two type of documents, one is excel, the other one is ppt. I worked until 11 last night, and I checked several times to make sure there were no mistakes. Then I sent to her this morning. But she is not satisfied with my type, and asked me to change to words. I changed to words again. After she received the document, she was so angry at me because she feel my description/content is not good. She totally changed my document. I feel so hurt. I think the procedure of the goods returned is ok, but the way I describe is not meet her standard.

After she received the document, she was so angry at me because she didn’t like/approve my description/content is not good. She changed my content all over/ redid everything. I was so hurt. I think the procedure of the goods returned is ok, but the way I described them did not is not meet her standard/not up to scratch.
