Vocabulary

1.”bless you”
ex: after I sneeze, you can say “bless you“.

2. act of courtesy= a polite gesture
ex: people hold the door for the next person as an act of courtesy.

3. crybaby= an older person who cries over nothing
ex: I was a crybaby, I was very sensitive.

4. dementia= 痴呆症
ex: my grandmother had dementia so she couldn’t remember anything.

5. funeral= the ceremony for the dead ones
ex: you must dress appropriately at the funeral.

6. hobo= poor people wandering around
ex: she looks like a hobo with sandals.

7. bereavement leave= when a family member die, you don’t go to work
maternity leave= when you have a baby and you don’t work
ex: my sister had 7 days off for her bereavement leave.

This morning, I have some sad stories. My grandmother is passed, but her age is 94. So it’s not a very sad story for us actually. We don’t cry and I remember something when I was childhood, my grandmother once give me a lot of toys because I cried all the day, I didn’t stop. Whoever say anything I just didn’t stop crying, because my grandmother took care of me. My mom left me a week.

Recently, my grandmother got dementia, she doesn’t remember me, even my mother and other people. I have to go to the funeral.

Hotel sleeper, It’s an interesting job that i’ve heard online. They only go to sleep and they can get money. It’s too easy to get money, so I think it’s interesting. Another reason is they can go another country and they can go on a trip. I think it’s more difficult than what I thought. They can experience all the five-star hotels for free.

This morning, there was a sad incident. My grandmother passed away at the age of 94. So it wasn’t a not a very sad story for us actually. We didn’t cry/mourn for her.  and I remember one time when I was 10 years old, my grandmother gave me a lot of toys because I cried all the day, I didn’t stop. Regardless of what people said, Whoever say anything I just didn’t stop crying, because my mom had to leave me at my grandma’s for a week. 

Recently, my grandmother got dementia, she doesn’t remember me nor my mother and other people. I had to go to the funeral.
